Quotes Narrator : [ opening narration for "Opening Day" ] The perfect crime is the one nobody realizes has been committed. Every day, we commit a dozen perfect crimes in our mind, and we never get punished, because those crimes never happen. That's the way it is in the real world.
But murder, like a bad meal, has a way of repeating, especially when the bloody stroke is struck Add the first question. Was this review helpful to you? I am eager to read the next installment Shades of Betrayal, about Ashley now that I have read this one. The writing does seem to be improving from one book to the next!
I have enjoyed the series. Just wow. I seriously cannot give this series enough praise - I will say that I wish there were more than two books about Becca, because I'm at that stage where I'm not sure what to do with my life now and no other books can measure up at the moment I AM look forward to reading Ashley's story, though!
I won't spoil Wow. I won't spoil anything because you deserve to ride this roller-coaster on your own Wow Twilight Siege is just a great as Shadow Play.

This Duology was such a fun read and I will be going back to it a lot. Twilight Siege starts where it left off with the aftermath of what Ronan did to Becca. And Becca deciding to train to use her powers. Becca goes to ask Lochlan to help her train and they end up traveling to the Shadowlands. The Shadowlands arn't exactly safe but they find an ally in the form of the banished Fen and she promises to get him out.
I love Cat and I love Ashley they are such great characters. I really loved the way Jill ended this book and hope that we will come back to this world someday for Ashleys and Cats stories.

Two stars I read the first book in the series with understanding that this was the authors first book. If you have read books in the fantasy genre, books about fae, fairies, and faery then you'll be able to tell this author took pieces of other books we've all enjoyed and wrote the first two books in this series.
I am going to continue this series to see if she grows in her writings or continues to be less. No emotions, just words Loved it and left me wanting more! The plot definitely thickened in this book and I love how Becca grew and became more reliant on her own instincts. I think that is true of all of us as we acquire anything new. At first we go along with anything others will tell us but as we become more comfortable in our new talent we form our own opinions and become strong and steadfast to our beliefs.
I sincerely hope there are plans to continue this storyline and this is not the last we hear of Becca. This is an advanced copy from NetGalley Except its quite boring to me. The book has a very high rating. And from reviews here, seems many people enjoy the book. But, for me, its a different case. I have read better Fae based stories than this. One reason might be that I did not read the first one. I jumped straight to the 2nd one. Plus, too much lust Seems that is the main factor for Becca apart from saving t This is an advanced copy from NetGalley Seems that is the main factor for Becca apart from saving the world.
Twilight Siege takes you through a magical tale interweaving Arthurian legend with fae lore and the author guides you through the vulnerability of Becca and gives you a spicy romance to boot. Okay, so this book is super steamy. My favorite part of the book was the ending, it wrapped up perfectly. Twilight Siege does not need its first book to be read, but reading the first book makes this book so much better.
So, I recommend reading both of them in order, but you don't have to. Book two was so m Twilight Siege takes you through a magical tale interweaving Arthurian legend with fae lore and the author guides you through the vulnerability of Becca and gives you a spicy romance to boot. Book two was so much better than book one. Becca is a very likable character she has her moral compass on straight and wants others to follow suit even if it means sacrificing herself for the greater good.
The stakes are high, the fate of humanity is hanging on her preventing the dark fae from terrorizing Earth, and she struggles with real relationship problems both with her best friend Ashley and her romantic interest Lochlan.

And when light fae require sex to refuel their magic, that can get a bit sticky for a girl that wants exclusivity. Who hasn't related to that age old problem of wanting more than what another person can give?
The book is a fast read, and I enjoyed the writing a lot. Warnings, there is violence, there are lots of sexual situations, and There are also the occasional swear words, but I don't feel they are overly done, so it fit well with the story. I absolutely loved the way this story molded! Jill did such a great job finishing the story!
I loved Becca and Lochlan! I was surprised with all hatbshe is and all she could do when she came into herself!
I loved it! I also loved how she got closer to Cat. I would definitely recommend this story to anyone who loves the Fae! Reviewed for Nerd Girl. I loved this story even more than the first! There was so much detail about the realms and we learned that much more about Rebecca and her new found Fae abilities. I loved how she was the first of her kind and how she defeated Morgan le fay!
Also loved how the adult content was snuck in with just the right amount of steamy scenes.
One of a kind! I read Twilight Siege in a day. Once I started reading it, I could not put it down! The pace of the book is fast and exciting, and I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next.
